A traditional residential hall experience in the urban heart of Berkeley, close to local cafes, restaurants, and shops. Conveniently located three blocks from the south side of campus. Six buildings — Cunningham, Davidson, Ehrman, and Griffiths, the Towle mini-suites and the Wada Apartment building— built around a large central courtyard.
A central building houses the unit office, mail services, and rooms for meetings, events, and parties, as well as the Academic Services Center. Users are responsible for saving to cloud-based services or to an external drive. The loan period is two hours with no renewal or overnight. Students must present their Cal1 ID card to borrow.
Connectivity No login is required to access the computer. See the Mobile printing guide for more details. Fines and Charges Borrowers are responsible for loss, damage, and theft of the laptop while in their possession.
Borrowers should verify the condition of the laptop at the time of check-out and upon check-in. See the Pay fines page for replacement and overdue charges. Not all colleges have laptop programs open to all students. Please note that models depict one example of each room type.
Rooms vary in size, layout, and furniture configuration. Unit 1 is a high-rise complex consisting of six buildings built around a common courtyard. A triple room in Unit 1. Doubles and mini-suites are also available. Unit 1 is located just one block from campus, footsteps away from lively cafes, bookstores and shops. The Unit 1 lobby provides students an open space to study, hang out with friends, and host dorm-wide events. Most floors are all gender; single-gender floors also available.
