There are several different versions and each one comes in all 18 EA hair color swatches. While we are entirely unsure why you'd want pink body hair, the color matching is useful nonetheless. This realistic body hair by Slums adds hair to the chest, legs, arms, and armpits of your sims and can be found in the tattoos and gloves categories. It comes in just one thickness but does include texture not often seen. There are 3 swatches, black, brown, and ginger. All can be downloaded from Slums Tumblr. You will also find a variety of other CC on the site. This is an adjustment of existing content to make it fit female sims and it works well.
It comes in 4 colors, black, brown, red and blonde, and includes arm, leg, and armpit hair. You'll find the download via love4sims4 Tumblr. In create-a-sim, you'll find the content in the tattoo category and can apply it from there.
Thankfully hundreds of modders from all over the world have created custom hairstyles to freshen things up. Check Out This Mod. I would dare say that this mod could easily replace the one that comes with vanilla Sims 4, but some of you might prefer a more traditional look. With a small bun on top of the head and some loose hair all over the place, this gives you a stylish look without many similar options. This neat little hairstyle can be used by ladies of all ages, and it comes in a staggering 27 different colors to add plenty of variety to your Sims world.
Granted, I think the hair itself looks pretty good in real life too. I mostly play with male sims, I do admit that. But I have to tell you that those of you who want to see their Sims rock a short hairstyle with much more details than the ones that come with the base game are going to want to try this one out.
It can be used by Sims of all ages starting Teen but it does fit better on Young Adults, in my opinion. Among them? A single pixie cut for male sims. While the expansion pack did include some male hair, it goes without saying in the sims community that, even with every pack and update, there are far fewer hairstyle options for male sims. But there are many caveats.
As of now, custom content is only available for Windows and Mac users. While the best cc is perfectly safe, there are pieces of custom content that could cause problems. I recommend against Adfly. Sometimes, individual content creators will require a download via this platform, but it runs some risks.
Far safer is to download from a Patreon Page. Often, individual creators will have downloads behind a paywall but offer a public release a few weeks later. A mods folder should be automatically generated under Documents- EA- Sims 4.
While you can organize with folders inside that folder, the folder must be labeled as Mods in order to work. Make sure these are all package files; any zipped files will have to be unzipped. Slowly add them back in. To detect what custom content is causing the problem, I recommend the Sims 4 Mod Detector. Before you start downloading male hair cc, I wanted to touch on a topic of debate within the sims community: maxis match vs alpha cc.
Alpha refers to more realistic custom content that has a higher polycount. Alpha custom content does not match the more cartoony aspect of Sims 4 graphics and tends to show more detailed textures and details overall. Alpha cc also can have its own color hues and may vary quite about from swatches in the game. Alpha cc looks best when playing at a high graphics setting. Files sizes are generally larger, and this, alpha cc overall can be a bit more demanding to run.
Alpha cc for Sims 4 is closer to the general art style attempted in Sims 3. It tends to have a smoother, less detailed, and less textured look and leans more cartoon-like or stylized than alpha cc. Files sizes, of course, also tend to be smaller than alpha cc.
Ultimately, there is no one right answer: you can download maxis match cc, alpha cc, or even some of both. I have included a link or two for younger sims as well, though there are sadly far fewer options available for those ages.
